Mayako Ohira is an exceptional tour guide, extremely knowledgeable about the history of all the sites around Kyoto, who made our family’s two-day tour memorable. Her experience extends to knowing that we should go to Fushimi inari shrine and the Golden Pavilion first thing in the day to beat the crowds, where to buy ice cream with gold flecks, what restaurants could handle a dietary restriction, and even where the best restrooms are located. Maya-san hired a driver, Sato-san, who was highly skilled and saved us immeasurable time, so we could execute the itinerary. Sato-san is well connected in Kyoto, helping to book dinner reservations at high-end establishments that appeared fully booked at the year-end holidays. We loved Maya-san’s insights, compassion, good cheer, and hospitality. We highly recommend her services!
