Yuko was such an outstanding tour guide! We had the pleasure of spending a day in Kyoto with her. From the hike up to Monkey Mountain, to the Golden Pavillion and Bamboo Forest, to the local gyoza spot for lunch, we had the perfect day! We highly recommend Yuko! She made our time in Kyoto feel so special!

As an American visiting Kyoto, I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. She is a local with an incredible understanding of the area and communicated everything in a way that felt natural and easy to follow, sharing just the right amount of information without ever feeling overwhelming. She adapted seamlessly to our pace and interests, making the experience feel personal rather than scripted. She also went above and beyond by helping us shop for the best local items, guiding us to authentic spots and ensuring we found high-quality souvenirs. Thanks to her, we experienced Kyoto in a relaxed and meaningful way, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional guide. We enjoyed our time so much that we extended an invite for her to visit us at home for a true American experience!

Our guide was incredible. She was warm and inviting and we are so grateful for the time we spent in her beautiful city. She was so great with our daughters, 10 and 12. A highlight was a trip to her supermarket to buy dashi and all the ingredients to make Udon. We enjoyed our time in Kyoto in large part due to her energy and our lively conversations.

We were lucky to spend two days with Yuko while visiting Kyoto. She’s kind, fun, and extremely knowledgeable about everything - from Japanese history to the best shops for trendy items and great restaurants. She took us to Nara, the bamboo forest, monkey park, and managed to find a river walk outside of town with early cherry blossoms (which was a last minute request!). She’s also an excellent photographer! We got the best family photos thanks to her. If we lived in Kyoto, Yuko and our family would be close friends! She’s an excellent guide but also super fun to hang out with. We feel blessed we met her and hope we’ll keep in touch. If you’re in Kyoto, you need to find her … and, no doubt, your trip will be better with her as your guide! PS: Her English is exceptional!
