Sake is my area of specialty, and I particularly enjoy combining Kyoto’s food culture, history, and neighborhood walks into my guiding.
Drawing on more than 20 years of experience running a Sake Bar in Kyoto, I introduce not only the history, brewing methods, and flavors of Sake, but also the cultural and local context that surrounds it.
I also value walks that go beyond the major sightseeing spots, exploring quiet streets, traditional neighborhoods, and everyday Kyoto. In addition, I offer private Sake tastings for small groups of international guests and am developing tours that combine neighborhood walks with Sake tasting experiences.
My goal is to help guests discover a deeper side of Kyoto through its stories, culture, and sake.
