We were a group of 6 adults visiting Kyoto for the first time. From our first email exchanges with Saki, we realized that she was very organized and communicated very clearly in English. We had an itinerary set a month in advance. Meeting Saki in person just confirmed our first impression. Saki is very knowledgeable about the sites of interest but what we found was even more important was how she gave us the background in terms of the key periods in Japan history, the interaction between the different religions, the food, among other key facts. Saki made our experience amazing by showing us the local culture, riding in public transportation, eating at local restaurants (great gyozas and soba noodles). I would highly recommend Saki to anyone looking for a highly knowledgeable person in the history and culture of Japan and as someone you will have a fun time during a day of touring Kyoto.

At our first full day, Saki guided us through her home town more as a knowledgable friend than a guide. Before, she asked us about our interests and preferences and what we would like to see. Consequently, our tour was very much as we imagined it and enjoyed it a lot. During the tour Saki gave us insights, explained the sites and places, answered all our questions and provided us with info materials and recommendations. And in between the sightseeing, there was always time for a nice chat and lough. At the end of our tour, Saki helped us with planning our next days in Kyoto. We had a great time together, thank you so much!

Saki was an amazing and knowledgeable tour guide and we are very happy that she was available during our time in Kyoto. We are a family with young children and Saki took us to some beautiful quiet locations away from the crowds that allowed a very relaxed experience for us. Highly recommend. Saki is an incredible guide and interpreter. She helped us with our geiko and maiko experience to help interpret our conversation, but she went above and beyond for us. She also took us around the gion district, explaining the culture, the lifestyle, and all of the different shrines. She also makes sure to take lots of pictures! She is incredibly sweet and knowledgeable and we highly recommend her. Okini Saki!

This was a wonderful trip!
