Dec 2017, I toured a group of two from Hawaii for a day and a half. On Day 1, we went to Tofukuji Zen temple, Fushimi-Inari Shrine and Fushimi area. I specifically incorporated Fushimi Area for Sake bewary into this trip since the guests like Sake, and it worked! On Day 2, I took them to Gion area and neighborhood that included a religious rites open to the public only this time of year.

Oct.2017:I took a lovely couple who has traveled internationally quite a lot to the Kyoto Imperial Palace and Ryoanji Temple. Although they already had a good understanding of Japan, they were eager to discover more and deeper. I was happy to answer all the questions. Thanks to the rain,we were lucky enough to experience, I would say, the serenest calm at the Zen garden at Ryoanji temple at dusk.

Oct.2017 : Gion evening tour for a solo traveller from New Orleans. As I was explaining "Geisha" dancing, I found out she had a background in Jazz dance and had strong interest in both traditional and experimental Japanese dance. It was enjoyable to talk about a choreographer both of us admired. She missed out Gion a year ago, I was happy to fill her missing piece of her trip to Japan.
